more AMA fun
Jun. 21st, 2007 12:08 amLookit what I found~!
Roxas and me!
We don't have a Donald, and our Axel was MIA at the moment, so I had my Donald plushie and Jenny had a can of Axe with an "L" taped to it.
And yes, those gloves are a pain in the butt to wear.
While we're still on the topic of AMA, here's some funny random stuff that happened that I forgot to mention in the last post:
This is AMA
The setup: Artist's Alley is set up in this gigantic room with a ceiling about fifty stories high, and there's a walkway above where the food court is located, and there's a balcony where you can look down at the alley below. So I mentioned the awesome EB fangirl who also had an Artist Alley table, yes? There was also a guy who was cosplaying as the Internet Tubes who was also pretty awesome, and I made a point to try and yell "TUBES!" every time I saw him. Anyway, Awesome EB Fangirl and Internet Tubes were apparently in cahoots together, because this happened:
INTERNET TUBES: *leans over the railing on the balcony and yells down* THIS IS BLASPHEMY! THIS IS MADNESS!
EB FANGIRL: Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!!!
And there was much rejoicing.
Cactuar attack
For those that don't know, Cactuars are enemies in Final Fantasy games and look like this. They're dangerous and fast, but rather small.
So you might be able to imagine my surprise when I strolled past an elevator, and then the door opened, and a giant 6-foot tall Cactuar comes bounding out of it at top speed. Fortunately I was already out of the way, but still, it was a major "wtf just happened" moment. The person in the costume won an award for it, too. :D
Lightsaber geek out
So there was these awesome Star Wars cosplayers (here's one, and I can't find pictures of the other guy D:), and to make a short story even shorter, they rounded a corner at the same time, locked eyes, and started an epic lightsaber duel, complete with working lightsabers that made the noises and stuff. Epic.
In other news, my plans for Otakon have changed. While I'm still quite gung-ho about making the Filia costume, I realized I only have three weeks to make it, and, uh... that's impossible, especially since I have a paper due in a week and I need to touch up Goofy's clothes (the washing machine didn't quite agree with them) and finish the sheild. So instead, I'm saving it for Nekocon, and I'm doing Yomiko from Read or Die since I can probably find everything I need in thrift stores. :D
and that's all the anime geekery for the moment!
PS: JESUS CHRIST ITS A LOVE NINJA GET IN THE CAR
