it's hooooot
Jul. 9th, 2007 09:01 pmSo there's a problem with the house.
Namely, IT'S FRIGGIN HOT.
We have two big air conditioning units, neither of which work properly. The one for the first floor never turns off, and the second floor one just doesn't cool.
What's worse, is that there is no vents or fans in the roof to let the hot air out of the attic. That makes the second floor very very warm.
And, of course, my room is the hottest in the house, what with being sandwiched between the oven-temperature attic and the garage, which doesn't get AC.
It actually wasn't very noticable until now. We knew there was a problem with the upstairs AC, so we kept all the ceiling fans on (there's one in every bedroom, it's awesome), but the heat in the attic didn't become apparent until the weather started getting up into the 90s. Dad's going to put a vent in the attic, but for now we just have tons of extra fans running.
Alfred, whom I just moved into my room a week ago, is enjoying the heat immensely, of course.
