Found this on [livejournal.com profile] ontdcreepy:

Okay so a few details are off (the Zora singer isn't missing, she's lost her voice. But she's still lost her voice because she's depressed.), but whoa.

I love video game creepypasta so much.

Oh my god why does this one fit so well? Even with minor mistakes it still fits.

I hate to be the only one in this line of comments that doesn't agree, but I think its a reaaaaly big stretch this person is making. As much as many of Clocktown's inhabitants are adamant that "The show must go on", even more of them pack up shop and leave by the final day. In fact, two of the most important people that you can get to stay are quite the opposite of in denial, Anju and Kafei. Both are sure of the others love, and it takes some pushing from you to make it happen, but they're right.

The swamp, I haven nothing against. Those are some pissed off scrubs.

I'll admit, the first thing I did when I got to the Mountain was get the Goron mask. Didn't get to Goron village at all first. However, I have talked to them without the mask on, and very few people even MENTION Darmaani, unless you ARE Darmaani back from the dead. In which case, they all seem to take it as natural and not weird in the slightest. Most of them are just whining about the cold, and the crybaby.

All of the facts listed, besides one I'll get to, are true, so while only the Plot Important Zora are depressed, I suppose thats good enough for the purposes here. But there's a perfectly understandable reason all the bad members are found alone. This is there home, why the hell would they all live in the same room? They have their own rooms, because thats where they LIVE.

I'm not really at the Ikana stage yet, so I haven't even read this paragraph.

Sorry to be a spoilsport.

Oh, no, I totally see where you're coming from. I thought the Goron one was pretty iffy, too. If I were writing this I would have used the baby crying for his father as the example (and by extension, the other Gorons are desperate for a way to make the baby stop crying). Although maybe the writer was thinking along the lines of how the Gorons seemed totally okay with the fact that Darmani was up and about like nothing happened even though some of them say things like "Hey! You're back even though we buried you! That's... cool."

I still kinda agree with Clocktown = denial, though, since I always had the impression that the moon has been slowly falling for a while before Link arrives and there are people still ignoring it by the time he gets there, and by the third day it's so close it's causing the ground to shake so it's impossible to ignore, hence why mostly everybody's fleeing at that point (sort of a "oh, crap, maybe they're right and we ARE all gonna die" kind of thing).

I guess thats where one's ideas about what happened before it all come into play. I don't think the moon started falling until just before Link got there, right when that masked punk showed up.

I don't recall creepypasta ever having to be 100% true. That's kind of missing the point of creepypasta.

I don't know what creepypasta is. Therefore, I take this as an actual theorization.

It has been years since I played, but I'm just going to pipe in about the Goron comment. Gorons are ridiculously proud creatures. They never ever straight out tell you about their real problems unless you convince them to in any of the games they appear in. I don't think its strange at all that they wouldn't mention Darmaani to some weird kid that's hopped in to town.

And I suppose since this is all very loose theory, you might be able to say that Clocktown is the center point of denial because that's where you revert whenever you deny the moon falling down with Song of Time. I guess.

I dunno. Weird theories are interesting. *v*(\

...and wow I meant to post this before I went to do work BUT THEN I DIDN'T so here it is.

That's still roundabout, but it IS interesting. Especially the Song of Time bit

I've always had the impression that the Goron hero died while trying to reside the winter fury so the Gorons back at the village didn't know he was dead and the Goron hero didn't have any way to tell that he was dead, etc...? Maybe I'm remembering things wrong...

But haha most of these make me go 8U
