Time for a proper update
Oct. 4th, 2007 06:23 pmSo I had a very weeaboo weekend, and much fun was had.
Michelle informs me that the Toys-R-Us she works at is having a special Pokemon event on Saturday, where you can download Manaphy, a rare one that's only available through these download events. Of course I got one, and then I hung out with Michelle while she was helping kids and their confused moms download their Pokemon. Jenny also showed up with Katie's DS to get the download, and then we Pictochatted for a while.
After Michelle left work, the three of us went to her house to make bento lunches for our trip to Maymont the next day (more on that later). We had picked up ingredients from the grocery store, and I had managed to randomly pick some absolutely delicious sushi with crabmeat, cucumber and avacado in it. We also made rice balls with tuna in the middle, which turned out also be absolutely delicious, and I discovered that they're really easy to make.
Recently, Michelle has gotten Jenny and I hooked on asian ball-jointed dolls, and our trip to Maymont on Sunday was to have a picnic with fellow doll collectors in the Richmond area. About nine people showed up, and Jenny and I were the only ones without dolls. Most of the afternoon we wandered around the park taking pictures of the dolls (mostly Michelle's- the other people kinda wandered off and did their own thing). I brought some Pikmin figures I had and photographed them, too. The doll meet pretty much solidified the fact that I really, really would like to get one, but they're ludicrously expensive, so I'll probably be saving for months. Of course, if I can get my brother to give me the money he owes me.... >:D
My grandparents came to visit that Sunday, but they only stayed until Tuesday (even though I tried to convince them to stay until Wednesday). My grandmother is awesome and helped me finish the dress to my Filia costume. :D
Aaand I have a ton of work to do, so that's all for now.
