Dec. 28th, 2005 05:18 pmOkay, first and foremost, THE WEEK IN REVIEW!
Wednesday: Parents get back from VA Beach, pick up myself, my brother, the dog and all of our stuff and we head to Harrisonburg. I manage to keep Kate off of my hair by telling her I don't want it messed up for dinner/the play. We go to dinner and I scarf down crablegs because we've got a half hour before the show. We went to see a production of A Christmas Carol by some members of the Richmond Shakespeare group and it was awesome (they had 11 people playing 50-odd parts). Kate spends the entire time climbing on us, except for the part with Jacob Marley, where she and Camille clung to Aunt Trisha in fear.
Thursday: Distracted the girls with Furbies and gingerbread cookies to decorate. Also decorated a gingerbread house, but my dad was more enthralled with that than anyone else. Watched Scrooge, and Kate again proved that she can't sit still for longer than five minutes.
Friday: Packed into the car and got to Pittsburgh late afternoon. We are all now sure that Penny (aunt and uncle's dalmation) and Buddy (grandmother and husband's carin terrier) loathe Zam with every fiber of their being. I also finished Dark Tower 1 to my dad's delight.
Saturday: Got ready for the annual Christmas Eve appetizer dinner. Mom and I took Zam and Buddy on a walk in hopes of draining some of Zam's energy but it didn't work.
Friday: Got up and discovered that my parents still insist on giving me a stocking. Spent most of Xmas playing Animal Crossing DS with mom, who's even more obsessed with it than me.
Monday: Sliced my thumb open cutting a bagel, hooray! Then we went off to yet another tradition- the yearly Xmas movie. This year it was King Kong, which was good but could've easily been a half hour shorter (were the nasty bugs really necessary?). I got a really bad headache after the movie, tried to take a nap but was interrupted by dinner and then played more Animal Crossing with Mom. Penny and Buddy still hate Zam.
Tuesday: As if we didn't have enough stuff, my mom, aunt, grandmother, cousin and I went shopping. I got a deck of cards for 2 bucks! Went out to dinner, came home and played more Animal Crossing.
Wednesday: Spent the day in the car. And yes, mom and I played Animal Crossing.
( Now for the annual stuff I got for Christmas list! )
And now for some quiz things!
( song quiz of doom )
( new year's thing )
