Kirby is kicking my butt
Jul. 5th, 2005 10:27 pmMy computer is... totally screwed up, yay! I'm just gonna avoid using it until I can get it reformatted (which will hopefully be soon). Until then, hello again ancient downstairs computer!
So, the birthday weekend went like this:
Friday: Got home from work to find that my aunt and cousin from Pittsburgh beat me there. My grandmother also came, which was going to be a surprise but my mom let slip she was coming the night before. My class ring finally came in the mail! :D
Saturday: Hung out at the pool, got really caught up in a book so I didn't get in until it was almost dinner. Uncle Tim showed up with the girls and I got to tote Kate around the pool for an hour. Then we went to dinner at Kabuto, a Japanese restaurant. This one had burned down and was rebuilt a couple years ago and now it looks really nice. I got an origami crane because it was my birthday. Then it was time for presents! The stuff I got was:
-A nice 35mm camera... with a broken viewfinder. XD
-A 2.5 gallon fishtank... that had already been opened. XD
-Lots of cash and instructions that I was forbidden to buy anything other than "fun stuff" with it.
Sunday: Shopping! I got some nice smelling bath scrub and a candle from Soak and picked up Kirby Canvas Curse. It's really addicting... but UNGODLY hard (especially for Kirby. "hard Kirby game" is an oxymoron).
Monday: Work, bleh. Fortunately there was hardly anything to do so I got off at noon. Then it was time for more shopping! I got Kill Bill vol. 1 for 10 bucks (!!) and I also found a used copy of MISCHIEF MAKERS!! The best N64 game ever!! I couldn't even find that when they still made them! The store I found it in had a ton of N64 games I always wanted like Donkey Kong and Majora's Mask (a gold cartridge version at that). I've been instructed by my brother to go back tomorrow and get as many as I can seeing as they're all 7 bucks a pop.
Also, is it just me or is Spencer's getting crappier? Every time I go in there I find less and less funny/cool stuff and more and more tasteless sex and drug memorbilia. Bleh.
Tuesday: More work, and then more shopping! Mostly just to exchange the camera and fishtank. Everything in the fish tank had already been opened so I had no idea if there was anything wrong with it, so I just wanted to be safe and get a *sealed* one. I also got some fake plants and a little bridge that Arthur can hide under. I bought a new bathing suit because my old one is literally falling apart. It took forever to find one I liked because they were either ugly or two-pieces (I wanted a suit that looked like a pair of shorts on the bottom... of course you can't find them anywhere now). I got my new unbroken camera working, and the first thing Zam did was stick his big wet nose into the lens. >_<
Tomorrow I'm going to get a present for my parents' anniversary. And to get more N64 games. :D
Gah, I really need to do laundry too.
